Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
From Tiffany at Travel Magic Network. Personalized planning from first call to final itinerary.
The vibe Dining & lounges - a real strength
Spanish, Mexican and Southwest American influences Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood: rooftop table
wrapped around Lago Dorado, the resort's lake - stucco service on top of Gran Destino Tower, with Spanish
walls, red-tile roofs, fountains and palm-lined walks. It feels sharing plates and wide park views - treat it as a
calm, romantic and grown-up for a Moderate, with lighter signature dinner
Disney touches than the Value resorts. Bridges cross the Three Bridges Bar & Grill: open-air dining out on the
lake to a central dining island, so evening strolls are part of lake at Villa del Lago - sangria, sharing plates and the
the stay. prettiest sunset seat at the resort
Rooms - villages or the tower Maya Grill for Mexican table service, and Rix Sports
Bar & Grill for a casual sit-down meal
The villages - Casitas, Ranchos and Cabanas: low- El Mercado de Coronado is the all-day quick-service

on the lake and Siestas Cantina at the pool
Gran Destino Tower: the 15-story tower (545 rooms)
works like a hotel - grand two-story lobby, indoor Pools & play
hallways and larger rooms, which no other Moderate
offers The Dig Site: the Lost City of Cibola pool under a 50-
foot Mayan pyramid, with the 123-foot Jaguar
Club level: tower club rooms include the Chronos
waterslide, a kiddie pool and one of Disney's largest hot
Club lounge - Coronado is the only Moderate with a

club-level option
Three quiet leisure pools, one near each village area,

charges
Also here: playground, arcade, volleyball, campfire
Getting around activities, Movies Under the Stars and a lakeside
jogging trail
Buses only - to all four parks, the water parks and
Two fitness centers and the Sangria University
Disney Springs. There is no Skyliner, monorail or boat
weekend tasting experience for adults
from here
Four bus stops around the resort (tower plus the three
village areas), so allow a little extra time - the bus may
make internal stops before it leaves
The resort is big and spread out: pack rain gear for the
walk to the lobby in a Florida shower, and ask for a
room near a bus stop if walking is a concern
Who it's best for - and the honest watch-outs
Best for: couples, adults, food lovers and anyone who wants a deluxe-feeling resort at a Moderate price -
especially tower rooms. It also suits conference trips: this is Disney's main convention resort, with a large
convention center attached.
Watch-outs: that convention side means a business crowd and a less playful feel at times, the grounds take real
walking, buses are the only park transport, and standard rooms top out at four guests - families of five should look
at a suite here or a fifth-sleeper Moderate instead. Ask me what is on at the convention center during your dates.
Not sure if Coronado Springs fits your trip? Let's talk it through.
